Preservation of the Missions: Experiences in Brazil

La preservación y puesta en valor del patrimonio cultural de losremanentes de las misiones jesuíticas de los guaraníes en Brasil,corresponde, de manera general, a la evolución histórica, técnica yconceptual de la propia institución federal de protección, eIIPHAN.Este trabajo presenta una síntesis de esta trayectoria en lossitios que, a partir de la definición de las actuales fronteras entrelas nuevas naciones republicanas, pasaron al Brasil en el iniciodel siglo XIX.The preservation and valorization of the cultural heritage of the Guarani Jesuit missions in Brazil, in general corresponds to the historic, technical and conceptual evolution of the federal institution for protection of cultural heritage, iphan.
