We have studied the effect of guanidino compounds, known uremic toxins, on neutrophil ROI production in vitro. Methods Neutrophils from healthy volunteers were exposed for three hours to individual or mixed guanidino compounds (GCmix) at concentrations encountered in uremic plasma.
