A one-day event examining the history and use of camouflage from its military and artistic roots to its contemporary generic and ubiquitous use, with invited speakers from both the fashion industry and academia. This symposium will feature recognised experts in their field discussing topics relating to the theme of camouflage: from the natural world to military use, traditional and subversive, its adoption by the fashion world, and of camouflage as a means of disguising one’s true self in the modern age.
