In this paper I examined Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange focusing on juxtapositions, music and violence. I concentrated on the devices the director uses to make the audience feel discomfort, and how this is related to the message of the film. I focused on specific scores of the film and their roles. I argued that the film's main idea is that violence is normal. It is a fundamental human characteristic, which is perfectly shown on Alex.BSc/BAAnglisztik
