The Counterculture of the 1960s and the Role of Rock Music

This paper describes the counterculture movement of the 1960s, and gives a historical and social overview about how this movement came into existence. It also includes the brief history of the Lost Generation of the 1920s and the Beat Generation of the 1950s as the predecessors of the counterculture movement.
