My thesis is all about community acquired pneumonia and how it is a pandemic killing so many yet it has been somewhat ignored. The first chapter covers how CAP presents itself clinically and how it can be diagnosed. In the second chapter, I explored the various classifications of pneumonia with diagrammatic representations, the etiology and risk factors for developing pneumonia. Chapter three touched on the severity of CAP and the various scoring systems used to achieve this. This chapter was focused more on the therapy and the newer therapies available which is the main aim of this thesis. Also, factors being considered when giving the empirical therapy.
