Localization of fruit trees, topology of their branch structures and spatial structure of their canopies arecrucial in the planning of site-specific agro-ecological and production technology projects in an orchard.Instruments and technologies currently used in precision agriculture and horticulture provide opportunities forobtaining information about the characteristics of fruit trees given above. The study area was an intensive appleorchard on the Study and Regional Research Farm of the University of Debrecen, near Pallag. Examinations werecarried out with two active remote sensors.
