In my thesis I want to summarize the literature on machine translation specifying on online translation systems. The description of the history, the development and the main features of online translators will take place in the first part of my thesis. The last two chapters are devoted to my own research which was carried out with the help of a questionnaire about the experience of every day users on three widely known online translation systems: Google Translate, Babel Fish and Webfordítás.egyetemiangol nyelv és irodalo
