Pour une sémiotique du corps sensible : le cas des arts martiaux

International audienceOur communicational practices are incarnate. However, when we use the body, or bodies, in a given situation, we create an instance of communication. This double-barrelled statement, which will form the object of this description and analysis, is linked to the question of the role of incarnation in the production and the evaluation of both communication processes, and of contextual practices. To define a standpoint, which will need commenting on, this concept of incarnation will be approached not as an essential, inexpressible presence, but as a communicational function. In this respect, modern developments in semiotics situate human experience in an area of sensory interactions , a boundary zone in which the world is confronted through the senses. The foundations of sensory semiotics (phenomenological, pragmatic and communicational) will be brought into play concerning the fundamental concepts associated with the martial arts, as outlined by Master André Cognard, 8th Dan of Aïkido, resulting from his personal introspection and his own daily experience of his art. There will be three stages of development in the article: from the description of Aïkido as an instance of communication; to the recognition of a process of identity construction in the specific form of communication represented by the “conflit créateur”; to the outline of a model for further research.Nos pratiques communicationnelles sont incarnées. Mais, inversement la mise en situation du corps, des corps, crée un espace de communication. Ce double constat, qui sera l'objet de notre description et de notre analyse, renvoie à la question du rôle de la corporéité dans la production et l'évaluation de processus de communication, mais aussi de pratiques contextualisées. Pour définir une position qu'il nous faudra commenter, nous aborderons cette corporéité, non comme l'indicible d'une présence, mais comme une fonction de communication. À cet égard, les développements actuels de la sémiotique appréhendent l'expérience humaine comme un espace sensible d'inter-actions, lieu de confrontation au monde par l'intermédiaire des sens. Il nous sera donné de confronter les fondements d'une sémiotique du sensible (phénoménologique, pragmatique et communicationnelle) aux fondamentaux du discours des arts martiaux, tels que nous avons pu les recueillir auprès de Maître André Cognard, 8 ème Dan D'Aïkido, dans ses aspects réflexifs et quotidiennement vécus dans la pratique de son art. Nous progresserons en trois étapes. De la description de l'Aïkido, comme espace de communication, à la reconnaissance d'un processus identitaire, dans cette forme spécifique de communication qu'est le conflit créateur, comme paradigme de recherche à développer
