International audienceOur communicational practices are incarnate. However, when we use the body, or bodies, in a given situation, we create an instance of communication. This double-barrelled statement, which will form the object of this description and analysis, is linked to the question of the role of incarnation in the production and the evaluation of both communication processes, and of contextual practices. To define a standpoint, which will need commenting on, this concept of incarnation will be approached not as an essential, inexpressible presence, but as a communicational function.
