Actualmente, dispone de casi 200 variedades, entre autóctonas y extranjeras. Entre ellas, se eligieron 21 variedades (8 rojas o bicolor, 7 verdes y 6 amarillas) para la evaluación de parámetros básicos de calidad del fruto (acidez, azúcares e índice de madurez) y de su potencial antioxidante (capacidad antioxidante relativa, fenoles totales, flavonoides y vitamina C) durante tres años.
