Based on the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in America and many other countries. Even though there are many cardiovascular related studies, research in the Hispanic population in the US has generally been limited and the impact of cardiovascular disease underestimated.
