The casting temperature at the casting process greatly affects the cast product results. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature variation on the physical characteristics of castings and mechanical properties and defects in castings. The material used in this research is Aluminum (Al) used to be melted back in the melting kitchen and then Aluminum that has been liquid poured into sand mold, variation of casting temperature used is 6700C, 6900C, and 7100C. The results of data analysis showed that the percentage of shrinkage at the temperature of casting 6700C amounted to 0.717%, the temperature of casting 6900C of 0.684%, and the temperature of 7100C castings of 0.621%.
