Faktor- Faktor Penentu Penyesuaian Diri Remaja

The research aims at finding out: (1) the determinant factors of self-adjustment of junior high school; (2) the determinant factors of emotional maturity of junior high school; (3) the determinant factors of internal locus of control of junior high school; (4) the determinant factors of social support of junior high school; (5) the correlation between emotional maturity with self-adjustment; (6) the correlation between internal locus of control with self-adjustment; (7) the correlation between social support with self-adjustment; (8) the correlation between social support with internal locus of control; (9) the correlation between social support with emotional maturity; (10) the correlation between internal locus of control with emotional maturity; The research used data that derive from a class VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Surakarta. The research population was a class VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Surakarta. The number of population was 280 students. Sample size was 190 students that determined based on Bentler. The members of sample consisted of 9 classes. Determining of members of sample used proportional random sampling technique. The questionnaire measured the indicator of 4 variables namely self-adjustment, emotional maturity, internal locus of control and social support. The conclusion of this study is that emotional maturity can directly affect self-adjustment. The implication of this study is that emotional maturity has a central function in influencing self-adjustment
