Treball de Fi de Grau en Economia. Curs 2017-2018Tutor: Paolo SospiroThis thesis provides empirical evidence on how gender stereotypes affect Catalan students’ career choice. In contrast with the existing literature we create a variable that isolates the effect of gender stereotypes and we measure its significance through regression analysis. Controls for other determinants of career choice are taken into account. We find that although women appear to be more stereotyped than men, gender stereotypes only play a significant role in men’s career choice decision
