This thesis deals with the long-term hydro-mechanical behaviour of an underground cavity, for example, in the storage of nuclear wastes in deep geological formations. A quasi-analytical solution, taking into consideration the complete life cycle of a tunnel, from the excavation to the post-closure stage after backfilling, is presented within the framework of poroelasticity. It is a useful benchmark test to check the reliability of a numerical solution, computed with the software Cast3M, and based on the superposition of two rheological models on the same mesh. This superposition principle allows to extend the capacity of the software to modell complex hydro–mechanical behaviours. Finally, a new model coupling hydro-mechanical aspects, cree...
