International audienceThe valorisation of different mineral wastes by a geopolymerization-process is studied. Geopolymers react from the aluminosilicates present in the materials. The chemical reaction is activated by addition of sodium hydroxide. The effect of thermal pretreatment of the original material is studied. The results show that this pretreatment is not always necessary. The mechanical strengths obtained are sufficient to consider the manufacture of brick. The cure after manufacture is however a decisive parameter.
