International audienceThis talk aims to analyse the public discourse of local populations in the active mining conflict of "Las Bambas" in Peru. These populations are rural Andean communities that need to claim their "indianity" in order to be allowed to ask for their right to "prior consultation" on the use of space. Various initiatives have been taken these last few years, sometimes in collaboration with NGOs, to get their voices heard: creation of a cultural review, realisation of short documentaries , websites and Facebook pages (including the organisation of a protest march to the capital city).
