La fratricida por amor: A Sixteenth-Century Spanish Ballad in the Modern Oral Tradition

In the present article, I study innovation and incorporation in the Spanish Ballad, or Romancero. My focus is a ballad published in 1591 that entered the modern oral tradition of the Judeo-Spanish, or Sephardic, communities of Morocco
