<p>This is a recording of Masen Abia who talks about a bushfire in his garden. The fire struck his garden just two days earlier. After the story, his brother Steven Karémbu joins in and he complains about people who burn the grass carelessly. The recording was made in Masu close to Rouku village, Western Province, Papua New Guinea.</p> <p>The dataset includes:</p> <ul> <li>audio file (tci20120922a-24.wav)</li> <li>video file (tci20120922v-24.mpeg)</li> <li>transcription file (tci20120922a-24.eaf)</li> </ul> <p>The material was recorded by Christian Döhler as part of a language documentation project for his PhD. For the most part it was funded by the <a href="http://dobes.mpi.nl/">DOBES project</a> of the <a href="https://www.volkswagenstiftung.de/en/foundation">Volkswagen Foundation</a>.
