Ank1 and Ank6 each interact with importin β1 and exportin 1.

<p>Whole cell lysates of HeLa cells expressing Flag-tagged BAP, Ank1, Ank6, or Ank7 were incubated with Flag antibody-conjugated agarose beads to immunoprecipitate Flag-tagged proteins and their interacting proteins. Resulting Western blots were probed with antibodies specific for importin β1, exportin 1, and p65. Expression of each Flag-tagged protein of interest was confirmed by subjecting input lysate to Western blotting using Flag antibody. Data presented are representative of three independent experiments.
