The change of T1 relaxation with age is greater in the white matter with a p-value of <10<sup>−4</sup> for Frontal white matter (R = -0.68), Parietal white matter (R = -0.62) and Corpus callosum (R = -0.58). This trend was not observed in the internal capsule with a R = -0.19/p-value = 0.23, most probably related to the fact that the internal capsule is one of the first structure to myelinate around birth.</p
