<div>ABSTRACT</div><div>Objective:</div><div>To explore the knowledge of and attitudes towards perinatal mental illnesses amongst women of child bearing age within women of Black African ethnic origin residing in Liverpool, UK.</div><div>Design:</div><div>This was a qualitative design using semi structured interviews. Data was obtained by audio taping semi structured interviews individually, which was transcribed, verbatim.
