Family Quality of life is a sense of group well-being of a family. This PhD investigated parent perspectives of having a child with disability and its influence on their family quality of life. It also investigated the relationships between family quality of life, disability-related supports and parent occupations. Findings highlighted that increased caregiving impacts parental health, and being able to work. Disability-related supports are considered helpful. Parents use a positive outlook to feel good about their family quality of life. Despite feeling positive, the demands of caregiving get harder as the child gets older, and parents worry about the future
