Two silver(I)-based coordination polymers (CPs), namely, <b>1-Ag</b> and <b>2-Ag</b>, have been synthesized by the reaction of Co-based metalloligands offering appended pyridyl groups. X-ray diffraction analyses revealed three-dimensional (3D) architectures for both <b>1-Ag</b> and <b>2-Ag</b> due to the coordination of Ag(I) ions to that of appended pyridyl groups. In the case of <b>1-Ag</b>, transition from a two-dimensional network to the final 3D network was manifested due to the presence of argentophilic interactions. Both CPs illustrated noteworthy structural differences and interesting topologies as a result of coordination of Ag(I) ions to the metalloligands.
