The 3D micro/nanofluidic devices find applications in tissue engineering, self-healing, self-cooling materials and others. The current state of art in design and fabrication of such devices are non-scalable, complex, entails heavy investment and high expertise, leading to an under exploitation of these devices in various applications. This thesis presents a simple, scalable and cost-effective fabrication of biomimetic, 3D micro/nanofluidic devices. The two devices developed by taking inspirations from fish gills and leaf have demonstrated their applications in mass transfer and passive fluid pumping, respectively. The work will accelerate the research and development in the field of biomedical and chemical engineering
