In order to meet the wartime needs for college-trained men and women, the University of New Mexico adopted at the beginning of the academic year 1943-44 an accelerated program of three consecutive terms, which enables students to attend college on a full twelve months\u27 basis and graduate in the shortest possible time. At various stages of the war effort of the United States, the University instituted special training programs. Some of these special programs have been terminated in accordance with national policy.https://digitalrepository.unm.edu/aysp_images/1026/thumbnail.jp
