The purpose of this investigation is to determine with what degree of certainty the achievement of freshman in the college of Engineering at the University of New Mexico can be predicted from an analysis of data available during their first semester of enrollment in college. These data are (1) high-school achievement as indicated by teachers\u27 marks over a four year period; (2) scores made on a battery of psychological and achievement tests administered at the time of enrollment in the University; and (3) college success attained in the first semester as indicated by semester marks
