Pengaruh Penambahan Kompres Hangat Terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Setelah Terapi Transcutaneus Electrical Stimulation (TENS) Dan Exercise Pada Osteoarthritis Lutut Di Klinik Fitasoma Colomadu Karanganyar

Background: Osteoarthritis is a condition where there are symptoms of disability in the articular integrity of cartilage characterized by changes in joint capsule. Warm compresses are an efficient and inexpensive form of treatment that acts as a superficial heating stimulation and muscle relaxation around the knee joint. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a form of nonpharmacologic, inexpensive and safe analgesia therapy. The pain modulation effect of the tens is assigned to a peripheral component which may be regulated by a central mechanism. Exercise is a therapeutic program that aims to maintain muscle strength and functional ability by maintaining its joints so as not to become rigid. Objective: To know the effect of Adding Warm Compress to Pain Reduction After Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation (TENS) and Exercise Therapy on Knee Osteoarthritis at Klinik Fitasoma Colomadu Karanganyar. Objective: To know the effect of Adding Warm Compresses to Pain Reduction After Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation (TENS) and Exercise Therapy on Knee Osteoarthritis at Klinik Fitasoma Colomadu Karanganyar. Method: This research uses experimental method, using one group pre test and post test design approach. The subjects measured the level of pain before treatment was given and then added warm compresses after TENS therapy and exercise in the TENS treatment and treatment group and exercise in the control group, then measured again the value of the pain. Measurement of pre test and post test using VAS. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk, influence test using Paired Sample T-test, and different effect test using Independent Sample T-test. Research Result: Based on the results of treatment conducted by the researchers, it was found that there is a difference of influence between the addition of warm compresses after TENS therapy and exercise and TENS therapy and exercise to decrease osteoarthritis knee pain in Clinic Fitasoma Colomadu Karanganyar. Different test results influence the influence of T-test mean difference of 2.285. Conclusion: From the results of the study it can be concluded that the therapy of warm compresses addition after TENS therapy and exercise and TENS therapy and exercise to decrease osteoarthritis knee pain in Clinic Fitasoma Colomadu Karanganyar
