Pengaruh Pemberian Stretching Dan Myofascial Release Pada Otot Upper Trapezius Terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Leher

Neck pain is one of the most common types of musculoskeletal disorders in batik craftsmen. Neck pain causes movement around the neck is limited and impact on the quality of work and daily activities. Neck pain can be overcame by stretching and myofascial release. This study aims to determine the effect of stretching and myofascial release on upper trapezius muscle to decrease neck pain in batik craftsmen.The type of research used is quasi experiment, using pre test and post test with control group design. Subjects were divided into 2 groups, treatment group (given stretching and myofascial release) and control group (given stretching). Measurement of pre test and post test using Neck Disability Index (NDI). Normality test using Shapiro Wilk test, influence test using Paired Sample T-Test, different effect test using Independent Sample T-test. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, obtained that stretching and myofascial release can reduce neck pain. The statistical test for influence test using Paired Sample T-Test in treatment group was obtained p = 0,000 (<0,05) and in control group obtained p = 0,000 (<0,05).
