Analisis Nilai-Nilai Karakter Dalam Buku Tematik Kelas IV Tema 3 Peduli Terhadap Makhluk Hidup

The purpose of this study is to describe the values ​​of the characters that exist in the thematic book of class IV Theme 3 Caring To Living Beings. This research includes qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study are statements that contain character values. Data were collected using reading technique, scrutiniz technique, and record technique. Data analysis method used is text and language analysis by using content analysis technique (content analysis). This research indicates that the fourth-grade thematic theme component theme 3 Caring To Living Beings includes: book title, introduction, student book, table of contents, subtheme, learning, bibliography, author profile, reviewers' profile, editor profile, illustrator profile. Of the 18 values ​​of character education proclaimed by the Ministry of National Education, there are 16 values ​​of character education in the thematic book of class IV Theme 3 Caring To Living Beings: (1) religious, (2) tolerance, (3) discipline, (4) hard work, (5) creative (9) love of the homeland, (10) respect for achievement, (11) friendly / communicative, (12) love of peace, (13) love to read, (14) care about the environment, (15) social care, and (16) responsibility. This means that there are two values ​​of undiscovered characters: honest character value and characteristic value of national spirit.
