The goal of this research project is to analyze how microaggressions manifest themselves among Latinx residents in the United States and how they interact with different notions of Latinidad. Microaggressions are the brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, and environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative racial, gender, sexual-orientation, and religious slights and insults to the target person or group (Sue). They are a mounting issue in society because they perpetuate inequality in a variety of environments.
