The novel Nietota (1910), written by Tadeusz Miciński, is certainly the work in which the writer of Young Poland sublimely showed his indological knowledge associated with a broad range of issues: geographical, religious studies, philosophical or mythological – literary. The author of the article gives specific attention to the character of Mag Litwor and she emphasises that in the creation of this character, Miciński combined a romantic concept of kings-spirit (pol. królów-duchów) by Słowacki with the concept of mahatmas, which comes from the Hindu-Buddhist esoteric.
