MasterPressure-assisted sintering became a promising technology because of its ability to produce full density products. Gas pressure sintering (GPS) and hot isostatic pressing (HIP) were studied along with pressureless sintering. Stainless steel and uranium dioxide were selected as research material. Since compaction result affects densification process, compaction experiment and simulation were studied additionally.Pressureless sintering adopted diffusional creep model. And because pressure applied in GPS is relatively small, GPS also adopted the same model as pressureless sintering.
