MasterThe wind energy conversion system has become an important part of the wind turbine systems. The study on a development of wind turbine simulator and a control strategy of wind turbine system with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator which is grid connected with back-to-back power converter has been done. Using Kaimal Spectrum model that is recommended by IEC61400-1 3rd edition, aerodynamic characteristics of blade and rotor, the dynamic parts of the simulator can be defined. Blade which is 5-MW Reference Wind turbine of NREL is applied and simulated on PC.
