La construction publique du sous-emploi: L’activité des chômeurs au péril des interactions de guichet

International audienceThis work examines the orientation of unemployed persons in France and Germany towards part-time jobs, which are sometimes compatible with unemployment benefits. Based on an ethnographic study carried out in four French and German employment agencies, this article presents the arguments concerning working time used by the agents during their interviews with jobseekers. These arguments constitute a stable and transnational repertoire, essentially driven by the resolution of organizational or professional dilemmas.Ce travail interroge l’orientation des chômeurs de France et d’Allemagne vers l’emploi à temps partiel, parfois compatible avec les allocations-chômage. Au terme d’une enquête ethnographique dans quatre agences pour l’emploi françaises et allemandes, l’article restitue les arguments des conseillers concernant le temps d’emploi au cours des entretiens. Ces arguments constituent un répertoire stable et transnational, essentiellement orienté vers la résolution des dilemmes organisationnels ou professionnels
