Serielle Verbkonstruktionen sind seit Jahrzehnten von großem Interesse für LinguistInnen. Sie treten häufig in Mabiasprachen (Gursprachen) auf, wurden allerdings in der Mabiasprache Mooré debattiert, da diese ein verbindendes Element in multiverbalen Konstruktionen aufweist. Dies ist laut den gängisten Definitionen von seriellen Verbkonstruktionen nicht zugelassen. Diese Arbeit bietet eine Diskussion mehrerer Definitionsansätze zu seriellen Verbkonstruktionen und gibt einen Überblick über die bisherige und meine eigenständig durchgeführte Forschung.
