Natural wind flow is one of the most effective energy saving methods to improve the thermal environment at the neighborhood level. The main objective of this project is to produce a useful anemometer and to measure the accuracy of the anemometer by comparing the data with Meteorological Department, Sabah. This project presents the results of wind intensity on selected residential areas in Kota Kinabalu city by taking 30 minutes interval. The wind intensity at a site can be measured by installing anemometer on top of tower. The 4 cups anemometer used was located 2 meters above the met tower with the weight of 118g and diameter of 15cm.
