In this study we investigate the quasi-static failure of 2D composites composed with cylindrical disksembeded into a matrix. We used the so-called bond-based peridynamic approach to simulate the mechanicalbehaviour of the samples. The radial distributions of damage allow us to highlight the joint effectsof microstructure and mechanical properties on the crack patterns.
