PENGARUH TERAPI KOMPLEMENTER MEDITASI TERHADAP RESPON NYERI PADA PENDERITA RHEUMATHOID ARTHRITIS DI KOMUNITAS

This rheumatoid arthritis disease is one of the autoimmune diseases characterized by symmetric erosive synovitis especially regarding joint tissue. In addition, it also involves other organs that can be accompanied by pain and stiffness in the muscular system and on the connective tissue. Complementary therapy includes one method to suppress the onset of inflammatory pain in RA patients. This study aims to determine the effect of complementary meditation therapy on the pain response in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in the community. This research is pre-experimental with pretest and posttest group approach with descriptive comparative design. The population of the study was 117 people with rheumatoid arthritis in the Working Area of Kartasura Puskesmas located in Makam Haji Kartasura village in February 2018. The sample of the study were 32 people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis which was determined by purposive sampling technique. The research data was collected using Scale Pain Scale Faces Rating Scale from: Li-ling Chuang, while data analysis using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result of research is Zhitung 4,961 (p-value = 0,000) so that H0 rejected. The conclusion of the research there was influence of complementary meditation therapy to decrease of pain response in patient athristic rheumatoid at Makam Haji Kartasura Villag
