Hubungan antara Relasi Sosial Teman Sebaya dengan Perilaku Asertif

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood. This period is also called as the most crucial period of development because at the end of the period a teenager will and must face himself how his identity will be formed. The purpose of the study to know the social relations of peers against assertive behavior. The research used is by using quantitative method, where to find variable relation dependent with independent variable. Determination of subject in this research is new student of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta with technique of sampling using two technique that is random sampling technique and accidental sampling technique. Of the population of ± 6000 students using a sample of 100 quota ± 25 people from each Faculty of Psychology (IPS), Faculty of Engineering (IPA), Faculty of Business Economics (IPS) and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (IPA). The researcher's data collected using measuring instrument of assertive behavior scale with peer social relation scale. Data analysis technique using Moment Productivity Correlation technique. Based on producc moment correlation analysis obtained coefficient value of 0.379 with a significant level of 0.000. The results of the study there is a very significant positive relationship of assertive behavior in terms of peer social relations. This means that the higher the social relations of peers the higher one's assertive behavior. Assertive behavior of research subjects is high. Social relations of peers of research subjects are high. The effective contribution of social variables of peers to assertive behavior is 14.36%, there are 85.64% other factors that influence assertive behavior. Keywords: assertive, social relations, peer
