The purpose of this research is toanalyze content of Bahasa Indonesia Textbook Revised Edition 2016 for Junior high school/ Boarding school class VII. This research is analyzing illustration and conformity material description with coreand basic competencies. The object in this research was using qualitative method with content analysis approach to understanding symbolic message on document (textbooks).Based on the results of the analysis from this research can be concluded: (1)illustration analysis of Bahasa Indonesia textbook revised edition of 2016 for junior high school/ boarding school class VII it says highly feasible, used to source of teaching materials.
