This study applied the new criteria specified in the ???Basic Concepts of Korean Highway Bridge Design Code: Limit State Design (2016)??? to the steel bridge design. Applying the load obtained by the MIDAS to the structure, several key characteristics of a simply-supported bridge. Such as the shear bending strength, the flexural strength, and the shearing strength of the bridge girder, the nominal flexural strength and the nominal flexural resistance in the web plate, and the load-induced and the deformation-induced fatigue, were checked by the ultimate limit status review, service limit status review, constructability review, and fatigue limit state review.
