Vibration analysis of a functionally graded beam with pre-twisted shape and tapered cross-section is studied in this paper. The beam has a rectangular cross-section and is mounted on a rotating rigid hub. Functionally graded material(FGM) properties are considered along the height direction of the beam according to the power-law form. The pre-twist angle and tapered cross-section area increase or decrease linearly along the length direction of the beam. The equationsof stretching and bending motion are derived by Kane’s method employing hybrid deformation variables.
