How are Japanese Tourists and Korean Tourists Visiting Jeju Olle Different? : Focused on the Benefits sought, Satisfaction, and Loyalty

This study attempts to provide practical implications through the analysis on the difference between Japanese tourists and Korean tourists visiting Jeju Olle in terms of the benefits sought, satisfaction, and loyalty. results showed that there was a difference between Japanese tourists and Korean tourists on the benefits sought. Compare to Korean tourists placed natural landscape experience, escaping from the daily life, new experience, and self-realization in consecutive order, Japanese tourists ranked self-realization, new experience, landscape experience, and escaping from the daily life in consecutive order. Japanese tourists presented a higher desire for the self-realization from Jeju Olle tour. The results also presented the difference between Japanese tourists and Korean tourists on the satisfaction. While Korean tourists presented higher level of general impression, Japanese tourists presented higher level of general satisfaction. This results implied that Japanese tourists consider the general issues, such as product price, quality, and the diversity of product contents and so on, when they select travel packages. Japanese tourists gave a comparatively lower average score on the intention to recommendation than the score of Korean tourists n the intention to recommendation. Lastly, This study suggested the need for a practical corresponding strategy to increase Japanese tourists’ interest in Jeju Island
