The main purpose of this research is to analyze various direct air-side economizer control strategies for a modular data center in respect to air-conditioning energy savings. Considering the fact that the reliability of electronics is the first priority in data centers, we set appropriate four air-side economizer control strategies and conducted annual energy simulation for the purpose of quantitative comparison. To the results, enthalpy-based air-side economizer showed best energy performance with 54.5% savings compared to reference system while there is limitation in physical configuration.
