Performing Memory was a symposium held at Kunstraum Niederösterreich Vienna and an eponymous publication following the event. The subject of the symposium was the interrogation of the influence of performance documents on the interface between lived, remembered and recorded aspects of live art events. I was invited to deliver a keynote paper contextualising my collaborative research with Françoise Masson, the photographer of Gina Pane, which had been influential on the work of one of the curators of the symposium - the Austrian artist Julia Kläring.
