This dataset is made up of (i) an ensemble of codes for building programs connected to the preprint, DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.28337.68964, of an article entitled 'Improved Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) This dataset is made up of (i) an ensemble of codes for building programs connected to the preprint, DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.28337.68964, of an article entitled 'Improved Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) Microanalysis Method' by (Hadji, 2018) and available through " http://www.researchgate.net/project/Analytical-Techniques-in-Electron-Energy-Loss-Spectroscopy", (ii) the source of the program, named ‘eelsMicr’ and built using the provided routines, employed to obtain the data given in (Hadji, 2018) and (iii) a set of experimental electron energy loss spectroscopy data relative to a polycrystalline boron nitride specimen installed within eelsMicr. The routines, and program, are useful for producing EELS data that are free from any unwanted effects resulting from combination of plural and poly scatterings from specimens with thickness which do not need to be small. The data that can be produced include thickness to mean free path ratios, numbers of atom per unit area of specimen, specimen thickness, absolute atom concentrations, mean free paths, conternt ratios and so on. More details are provided together with the program code within the uploaded file. Lots of details, e.g. those concerning the unwanted effects of polyscattering on the quantitative aspect of electron energy loss spectroscopy microanalysis etc., related to the research done connected to this dataset can be found in (Hadji, 2018). This dataset can be found to be very useful indeed, as it concerns ways of obtaining more accurate EELS data as well as it leads to important conclusions, see (Hadji, 2018)
