Organization of career guidance in the system of general education of the Sverdlovsk region in the assessments of the high school students

Career guidance is the first step in the complex process of professional self-determination of a young person. In a modern developing and constantly changing world of professions, the student often has to decide for himself what he will do in the future. Among the problems of professional choice, the issue of correlating the chosen profession with personal inclinations and abilities in view of the labor market situation is especially acute. Organizations of career guidance of the school in the Sverdlovsk region are paying great attention today, a number of information events are being held. The article analyzes the survey data from students of grades 8-11 of secondary general education schools of Sverdlovsk region on the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing forms and methods of career guidance (N=220). The results of the research showed that the problem of the discrepancy between the nature and quality of career guidance work for the needs of students really exists and needs to be solved immediately.Профориентация – первый шаг в сложном процессе профессионального самоопределения молодого человека. В современном развивающемся и постоянно изменяющемся мире профессий школьнику часто приходится самому решать, чем он будет заниматься в будущем. Среди проблем профессионального выбора особенно остро стоит вопрос о соотнесении выбираемой профессии с личными склонностями и способностями с учетом конъюнктуры рынка труда. Организации работы по профессиональной ориентации школы Свердловской области уделяют сегодня большое внимание, проводится целый ряд информационных мероприятий. В статье анализируются данные опроса учащихся 8-11 классов средних общеобразовательных школ Свердловской области по оценке эффективности существующих форм и методов профориентационной работы (N=220). Результаты исследования показали, что проблема несоответствия характера и качества профориентационной работы потребностям учащихся действительно существует и нуждается в незамедлительном решении
