Highly Spin-Polarized Photoemission near Threshold from Physisorbed Xenon and Krypton Atoms

Under certain conditions almost complete photoelectron polarization parallel or antiparallel to the photon spin was observed, allowing a direct assignment of quantum numbers of the states involved.
