Vocabulary of current popular songs

This bachelor thesis, based on the comparison of the results of the TOP 50 charts for 2016, analyzes the vocabulary of Czech pop songs in 2016, namely the work of Ondřej Ládek. We explore the vocabulary layers, describes the meaning of words by analysis of twenty selected songs by Slza and Xindl X and examines these texts from the point of view of phrazeology. Theoretic literal concepts from the field of versology worked out marginally. In conclusion this bachelor thesis compare differencies in the work of Ondřej Ládek depending on project. The results of this work enable us to get to know the contemporary pop culture and the way it forms one of the most played Czech authors
